Marcy Lechner, BHA, CPCS, CPMSM has worked in the health care field over the entirety of her professional career gaining experiences in both clinical and managerial roles. She gained administrative experience working as an assistant to top executives when Cotton-O’Neil Clinic and Stormont-Vail Hospital merged into a fully integrated medical system in 1995. It was there that she was introduced to both physician recruitment and the medical staff office.

Aside from the day-to-day operational responsibilities of provider recruitment, she was tasked with the development and implementation of a medical staff office for the ambulatory setting including committee structure, by-laws, policies and procedures and criteria for privileges. She also oversaw provider enrollment.

After combining both hospital and clinic medical staff services in 2013, Marcy has had the opportunity to focus on her true passion - provider recruitment, on-boarding and retention. She has worked closely with colleagues to streamline processes ensuring that new providers are thoroughly vetted, have an on-boarding experience that exceeds all expectations and assists in the retention of top talent for Stormont Vail Health and the communities it serves. She oversees many special projects.

She is an active member of AAPPR, MINK Midwest MD (dba CSRA) for which she currently serves as immediate past president, KaMMS and NaMMS . She is a past member of NAPR where she served on the Ethics Committee for 5 years. She was awarded the NaMSS Golden Key Award in 2021.

When she is not working, she enjoys family time, is active in her Church and enjoys reading, gardening and finding “off the beaten path” treasures
