Kurt Scott is the Founder and CEO of the Physician Leadership Career Network (PLC-Network.com), the only career platform exclusively dedicated to physician leadership. With nearly four decades of experience in physician and physician executive recruitment, Kurt created PLC-Network to fill a long-standing gap: a space where healthcare organizations and physician leaders could connect without being lost among thousands of unrelated job postings. Today, the network not only connects organizations with mission-critical leadership talent, but also provides career resources-including leadership training, advanced degree programs, and coaching-to help physician leaders grow and succeed.

Prior to founding PLC-Network, Kurt built and led recruitment programs for major healthcare organizations and staffing firms. At Geisinger Health System, he grew annual physician hires from the 30s to more than 100, launched one of the nation’s first formal physician retention programs (reducing turnover from 10% to less than 4%), and placed more than 100 physician executives across the system. Later, he helped VISTA Staffing Solutions establish its permanent physician search division, bringing 20 years of recruitment leadership experience to the role.

A past president of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR, now AAPPR), Kurt has been a frequent national speaker and was instrumental in creating ASPR’s fellowship program to train the next generation of physician recruitment leaders. His insights on recruitment, retention, and leadership have been featured in publications including Modern Healthcare (cover story), Health Care Financial Management Journal, Modern Physician, The New England Journal of Medicine’s Recruiting Physicians Today, and The Physician Executive (ACPE).
