Emerson is a career physician and APC recruitment professional, currently serving as Vice President of Clinician Acquisition and Recruitment at Signify Health, part of CVS Health, leading a team of over 50 recruiters, managers and directors that support recruitment for the largest provider of in-home health evaluations, complex care management and virtual services in the country. With over 20 years of health care recruitment and management experience, Emerson has led multiple teams and initiatives across a diverse group of health systems and practice organizations across the US, including Optum Health/United Health Group, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Tufts Medical Center and Baystate Health. She also has served as the Director of Clinician Recruitment in the start-up phase of the tech-focused, Amazon One Medical. She has been cited in over 25 healthcare and talent acquisition publications and delivered over a dozen educational sessions on various topics across the national clinical talent attraction space.

Emerson has been a member of AAPPR since 2007 and holds the CRPR-DEI credential. She served on the AAPPR Board of Directors from 2018 to 2024, and as AAPPR Board President from 2021 – 2023. She also previously held the position of Vice President of the Academic In-House Recruiters (AIR) Network and Chair of both their Education and Website & Social Media Committees. A life-long New England resident, Emerson completed her undergraduate education at Mount Holyoke College and received her MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
