Aisha DeBerry is currently the Executive Director of Provider Recruitment at University of Virginia which is an academic health system to include four hospitals, the UVA School of Medicine, and UVA Community Health Medical Group.

In this newly created, strategic role, Aisha is responsible for developing and leading the physician & provider recruitment strategy and framework, enabling UVA Health to attract, engage, evaluate, hire, promote, and retain exceptional and diverse talent. Previously, Aisha DeBerry served as Group Director of Physician and Advanced Provider Recruitment for Bon Secours Mercy Health (the 5th largest Catholic health System in the country) and was responsible for directing strategic recruitment initiatives for Cincinnati, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Virginia.

With over 20 years in the healthcare recruitment industry, Aisha served as Board President of the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR). She was formally the chair of the membership committee for Academic InHouse Recruiters (AIR) and JEDI Chair for the central Virginia chapter of Women in Healthcare.

Aisha has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and a Master of Business Administration. Additionally, she is a CPR-DEI (Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional) and received a professional human resources certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. Aisha is also a certified Fascinate personal branding coach and taught at Virginia Commonwealth University as an Adjunct Professor.

When Aisha is not traveling for work or fun, she is spending time with family and friends or working on community projects with her sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc and with the Society, Inc providing under-served children with support for visual and performing arts.
